The proprietory name of a patent medicine used (world-wide) as a narcotic and anodyne, and containing chloroform, morphia, tincture of Indian hemp, prussic acid, and other substances.
Note:
Previously widely used as a home remedy, chlorodyne is now obtainable only on prescription.
