Named for its donor, Donald Currie.
A sporting trophy awarded annualy, originally for inter-provincial rugby, swimming, soccer, and cricket. Also attributive.
Note:
Since the unification of ethnically separate sports associations in the early 1990s, the ‘Currie Cup’ has not been awarded in cricket and soccer.
