1934 C.P. Swart Supplement to Pettman. 136Perske Smeer,..The name of a delicious S.A. sweet, made of peaches, which after being cooked are finely pulped and spread thickly on a greased board where they are left to dry. After being well sprinkled with sugar they are rolled and tied.
