SACC, noun

Initial letters of South African Council of Churches, the name (since 1968) of an organization formed in 1936 to represent a number of (Protestant) churches, and concerned particularly with issues of social justice. Also attributive.

The SACC was formerly known as the Christian Council of South Africa. It is affiliated to the World Council of Churches.
